    Cleaning torsion bars

I have my torsion bars removed, what's the safest way to clean them? After reading about scratches being a threat, I'm paranoid to scrub them with anything.

I've wondered if the bars were polished to a mirror

A Scotch-Brite pad won't hurt them. Don't touch them with anything metal.
