In search of Early Grey Front Wheels

I’m searching 1 or 2 Early Dark Grey Front Wheels.
Condition has to be like new or NOS.

    Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if any of these are early or not, but Whiteout is selling a pair of front wheels:

Or, while I was looking for project car candidates - I noticed a DeLorean in the background of one photo. I browsed the seller's other items and found he is selling all 4 rims - maybe you can contact the seller and see if you can make a deal on just the fronts.

None of those are early models. Early wheels have a very thick base at each fin

The later wheels have the thicker base that you are showing in the photo. The castings were revised to add additional material at the base of the spokes for greater strength.

    Production chronology was as follows:
    1. Dark Gray Paint, Thin castings
    2. Silver Paint, Thin Castings
    3. Silver Paint, Thick Castings.

Original Design (Thin, produced in both gray and silver):

Later Design (Thick, only produced in silver):

I have about 12 front NOS early grey wheels still in the original DMC box, and have about 8 rear grey NOS rims also, in the box also. I also have a few of the early grey center caps also that are NOS. Hit me up in PM and we can discuss pricing, asking price will be around Houston’s pricing since original and never been mounted on a car.

I also have lots of rare NOS parts if you are looking for other items, think we discussed the luggage rack and ski adapter a while back.
