Great to hear about another MS conversion! powerline84 is right on with the pullup resistor, he was very helpful in getting mine running. One thing I found with my conversion that you may want to look at, the Banner unit is very sensitive to voltage sags. My original wiring providing power from the fuse panel had more of a voltage drop than it could handle while cranking. I needed to wire the banner power and ground directly to the battery. No more problems with the the Tack in on the MS, it has been rock solid since wiring direct to the battery.

Great advice! A DC to DC converter 12-15V was on my list if the the direct connection did not work. With an O-Scope I would see the cranking voltage drop to about 9.5V from the fuse panel, this was enough to shut down the Banner sensor during crank and cause the no start condition.
P.S. The DC to DC converter might be a better solution for future starts in the event of a partially discharged battery.
Glad to see the old thread revived and I am glad to help . Been Pretty busy the last few days. One thing I learned with EFI that can't be understated is the importance of clean power signals( i.e no noise interference), and good qaulity grounds. When ever possible don't share power or grounds if you don't have too.
