    2706 goes megasquirt

Well since I have officially bought a whole bunch of parts I guess it's time to make a thread. I have taken this leap of faith based off the help of Luke, Pat, and Josh. Seeing Luke's beautiful car at DCS 18 motivated me. Not to mention the only reliability issues I have had are with Kjet and I hate it and lack of tunability . I am new to megasquirt so I would appreciate any help, guidance etc.

This is not my first fuel injection and tuning project. I built a 2006 toyota Tacoma street strip truck once and built the turbo kit and did my own tuning . Piggy back ecu, Supra injecters, trubonetics t3/t4 turbo, inovate wideband etc. and me with a laptop in the passenger seat tuning while my buddy drove it. 14 psi to a stock block and had a lot of fun with that truck .

I am considering doing a turbo as well but first I need to do the conversion.

Attached are the parts I have ordered so far with their help. I need to do some more research and see what's left. I need to look at the distributor and also the crank sensor stuff.

    Parts list so far :
    DPI
    -spec rails and Injectors
    DIY Auto Tune
-GM IAT open Element and Pigtail
-GM CLT/IAT closed Element and Pigtail
    -idle air control body
    -associated pigtails
    -megasquirt 3 EMS system
    -8' harness
    -tuning cable
    -Innovate LC-2
    -gauge
    Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator

Wish I had known you were doing this project; I could have gotten you the majority of these parts much cheaper; just sitting around on my shelf.

You’d want something of comparable throttle size otherwise you’ll lose the ability to control output. But a drop-in adapter for a junkyard throttle body would definitely be nice.

Can you guys post pics of your cam sensor pickups and your crank sensor setups. These are both hard parts I still need to figure out .

I just used my stock distributor and put msextra in the megasquirt to do the odd fire of the engine. Also later on you could always install some throttle bodys like i did on mine.
