Moving to Singapore - Any Other Owners Out There?

My wife was recently offered a position in Singapore for her job, so I'll be moving there for 3 years! Very excited about the move, but the bad news is that due to incredibly high registration fees (tens of thousands) for cars there it really doesn't make sense for me to ship the DeLorean there and back. Likely it would cost me more than the value of the car to have it there for such a short time. Even though I won't have the car, I'd love to get connected to other owners out there if they exist and continue to get my DMC fix.

I know I've seen pictures of at least one DeLorean in Singapore, but not sure if that person is still there or if there are others.

If you know you live there or know someone who does, please reach out! I'll be moving mid-February.

I've never been there, doing an apartment hunting trip in 2 weeks. No doubt I have a lot to learn!

Thanks Josh! I won't be gone forever! It just means we likely won't caravan out to DCS 2020 and 2022 together

    Don't forget me!

    LOL!

After some more research, apparently it is very hard to import old cars (>3 years old) into Singapore. I found a facebook thread talking about a guy that had a DeLorean in Singapore but it was there for decades. There may not be many there.

More info on importing old cars: https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/l...lassic-Car.pdf

They need to be at least 35 years old before they can be imported, meaning the DeLorean just met that criteria recently. That explains why there aren't many of them!
