I found out a friend of mine owns a Plymouth Prowler, the other day we took it for a spin, being a roadster it's ride was firm and even a bit on the harsh side when hitting driveways and pavement cracks at highway speed.

I asked him if you could soften the ride at all and he claims that due to the placement of the front shocks and springs that you can't get a much softer ride.

Lets not get into all the handling aspects of softer shocks but do you think a softer ride could be had by replacing the shocks, or would springs and all need to be done or is it just not possible as he said due to placement.

(Shocks are placed close together on the front end not over or near the wheels., don't know how to add a photo, sorry)
