    3rd Generation Delorean Owner

On Sunday, my son became a 3rd generation Delorean owner. My dad passed in 2018 with instructions to leave 02378 to my son and he is now the 2nd owner. My dad purchased the car new in October of 81. I’ve had the car in my possession over the years but never legally owned the car. Today we spent most of the day cleaning it up and making a list of parts. I purchased my first Delorean in 1999 at the age of 28, my son is 16 years young and has a lot to learn. He’s had quite the Christmas this year! This first picture is him in 02378 when he just turned 2. The second was taken today.

Crazy that he’s a 16 year old 3rd generation Delorean owner.

And the journey begins. Walking my son through this step by step. It’s been about 10 years since the car was running. Tomorrow we’ll ensure the fuel tank is completely clean. He enjoyed replacing all the struts and now understands how heavy the doors are.
