    Control pressure regulator

    Anyone ever rebuilt/repaired one? I think mine is cooked..... explains the melting fuse 7.

    CPR repair

    I've "rebuilt" mine by replacing burnt
    wires. I wish I tore mine down like yours,
    it would have been easier to solder the joints.

    Some place on the interwebs there used to be a picture of the interior of it as reference. I mean it seams like simple wires but always nice to have a sanity check lol.

    That wiring used Teflon insulation. I think the problem was some units the wire touched the case and that wore though the insulation. When I first bought my car I had the same problem. I ended up getting a rebuilt unit from John Hervey. There is a thermal switch in there that switches a higher or lower power heating dependent on temperature.

    Typically when they burn up they can be repaired but then they must be recalibrated. John H used to do it.

    I'm thinking mine was good other than the broken/burnt up wires. I found fuse 7 hot/melting so this was the first thing I went to.....
