    Here's some candidate cars.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/114130265317 - I think this needs a small amount of work, but it's close.

https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/SCEDT26T0BD005450 - I went and looked at this one myself; it's very nice. Needs a couple of minor things.

Buying from a dealer has a few advantages. You can expect a fair assessment of it's condition and part of your negotiation can be some additional work. Much easier to finance through a dealer if you can't put your own financing together. They can help arrange all of the paperwork and transportation. They have a reputation to protect so you can expect a fair deal. Expect to pay FULL RETAIL They may even give you some kind of warranty.

Buying from a private party, expect to do your own assessment of it's condition (if you can). You must decide what the car is ACTUALLY worth based on it's condition. That may be much different than the asking price. You may do a lot of travel for nothing (you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find that prince!). The private party cannot be expected to do ANYTHING, what you see is what you get. You will have to provide cash and do all of the paperwork and transportation. On the plus side you could negotiate a VERY good deal. A lot depends on what you expect and how handy you are at fixing old cars.

As for where to find them, you came to one very good place but keep your eyes open and be patient and you will find what you are looking for. Don't buy the first one you see unless you KNOW it is a good deal but to know that takes a lot of looking in the first place. E-Bay, BHCC, Facebook, Hemmings Motor News, are some other places. Call all of the Delorean vendors, not all are franchises of DMC and they each have their own inventory and it changes. Talk to the different Delorean owner groups. The more time you can spend looking the better you will be at recognizing a good deal. James Espy's book is a very good reference too.
