Fuse #8 blows with LED in headlight switch

I cant figure our why, but my fuse #8 blows immediately once I press the headlight switch onto any on position. Whats strange is that prior to placing the LED the incandescent bulb worked just fine. Having removed the LED I reinstalled the incandescent and had no problem with the bulb coming on and the fuse not blowing, but with the LED in place its immediate. I know the likely answer would be "The LED is bad" but its not, Ive placed the same LED in the cigar lighter lamp and it works just fine, additionally I have done this with 2 other LEDs and gotten the same result.

Suspecting the switch itself is the fault I opened it up and found no damage or wear of any sort. The terminal pins that power the bulb socket are straight, intact and look flawless.

Any help is welcome, I am at a loss for understand why on this.

Your LED has wires bent over the end of the LED. The wires need to be only on one side, so clip the wires shorter so they only get to one side.
