i use a coolant vaccum filler to fill my car.
I would not do it any other way now. I have filled my car with a bone dry system (empty block) to full in less than an hour. Hopped in and drove no air in the system at all. This is impossible with any other technique.
My coolant system is very similar to the stock one. I have a high point returning to the coolant tank, but no external bleed valves. It is not necessary with a vaccum fill.
I use this kit, comes as a snap on and other brands.

Even with this "evacuation tool" I was still able to bleed a little air out of the radiator and the bleeder screw. Not much but a little. I also use a 5 gallon plastic pail and dump 2 gallons of anti-freeze and 2 gallons of water into it and mix it up and fill the system from that. Leaves about 1/2 gallon left over. Not counting the time it takes to remove the old stuff and set up the evacuation tool, it takes me about 5 minutes to vacuum the air out and fill the system. Using a pail I don't have to move the hose.
