DeLorean vs Porsche 911: YouTube showdown

Some of you may remember that I did a review of the DeLorean on youtube a couple of years ago (this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzTe3dIfv-c)

Well, there was a follow up that I was dying to do for ages but have only just finally got round to doing. Yes, of course it's not a fair comparison given the Porsche is 23 years newer, but it was an opportunity to have a bit of fun with it

I'm trying to build my channel with some more DeLorean content, so if you find it entertaining give it a like and it all helps the algorithm give the channel some more traction!

    Any thoughts always welcome too

Great vid dude. On the warm start issue in battled this for ages. I’ve finally solved it and it was the distributor and rotor and spark plug leads that were all worn. Also if you get Dave McKeen hot start module that also helps if you unplug TTS and let his module fire the CSV after a second of cranking.

I really enjoy both of your videos (I've watched the original one several times). I like how you break down myths, and frame DeLoreans with proper perspective. Most importantly it's refreshing that you're honest about the DeLorean's inadequacies and poke fun at the quality & reliability issues. You could have easily edited those issues out, but you didn't. So many DeLorean owners are just exhaustingly humorless when it comes to the shortcomings of the car/company/man.

Oh, and your seats are gorgeous btw. I'm guessing those are from DeLoreanGo?

I was actually looking at 80s 911 prices the same day you posted your latest video. It's interesting that DeLorean asking prices are now roughly on par with 80s 911 asking prices stateside (930 Turbos notwithstanding). It certainly is vindicating that the DeLorean is finally being taken seriously as a historic automobile.

Good! You should keep it. Your first video and your interview on DeLorean Talk were great, but I was surprised when you said the car was for sale. It sounded like you really loved that car.
