Found a key under the cubby carpet.

Anyone know if this is from the factory, or just the p.o.? Any idea about what the tag may have said?
    Thanks

Those were the zip-ties used at the factory. Can't confirm it's, but it seems likely.

That's what I thought also, it's zip tied to a bunched up plastic baggie.

The tag probably had the key code and/or the vin #.

In photo 2 there is a second 'tag' visible. It is the rectangular bit of metal just to the left of the key grip, seen underneath the knots for the strings.

The factory keys came with one aluminum tab that size. It has an oblong hole at one end.

A 4 digit key code is stamped into one side of that tab.

HA! I didn't think it was, but apparently it is!

I knew we had a few chocolate bars you can't get in the US, like Coffee Crisp, but hadn't realized Caramilk was one of them. You'll have to try one next time you're North of the border. That and some All Dressed chips

Original keys are some kind of steel. They are magnetic. The reproductions are brass I believe.
