    Introduction 16677 New Owner!

    Hey Everyone!

I just recently purchased 16677 from a dealer in Ohio with 44K miles and had it shipped to my home in North Carolina

It was in very good condition and I'm super happy to own it!

There is a short in the electrical system for the AC so it cuts in and out but I'm taking that in to someone who is comfortable working on it Tuesday.

The only other thing I really want to fix asap is the circuit boards for the tail lights as I took them off and noticed the last owner wired the driver side very weird.

I've had a lot of fun meeting other owners on reddit and Twitter so far and I"m super excited to meet everyone here!

    Welcome and congrats!

For that A/C cutting out due to a short in the wiring... if you're describing the A/C compressor coming on and off, on and off repeatedly, that might be just telling you the freon level is low. They tend to do that when the amount of freon in there is enough to satisfy the low pressure switch, but not enough to keep the compressor going once it starts. You can put a set of gauges on the A/C fill ports and see what the pressures are when idle and when running. I would do that before chasing an electrical short.

The dealer said they topped it off before they gave it to me, but I'll make sure they check that first when I take it in!

The biggest problem for me is I was checking the lights to make sure I can pass inspection and saw the two tail light boards are wired differently... I ordered the new boards and a rear harness but woof this was a crazy find!

    Driver side (wtf?!)

Welcome! Lots of knowledge here. I drive mine as a daily during the summer. Very reliable. Have fun with your new ride!

Limited Run? As in the company?

Thanks! I plan to drive mine quite a lot, especially since the office (yes, like the company that does games! ) is nearby!

Just need that darn AC fixed because woof stainless steel in the summer is hot as hell!

I love LR. I’ve bought a bunch of stuff from them. I was online waiting for a pre order a while back and as soon as it went up it said was sold out! Drove me nuts.

Ac in the hot sun is a must with the small toll windows.

Welcome! Don't worry about the tail light board wiring. Looks like someone tried to fix a wonky board(common problem with original boards). I doubt you will need a new harness unless he has mucked up the plug too.
