    Drivers Torsion Bar Needed

Hello All, I'm in need of torsion bar for the drivers side door #100931. Mine snapped today, what a noise!

I know they're not available as an OEM part, I'll even except a used one(not repaired please if possible).

The cost is a little steep for a new one manufactured (I'm retired, money is tight) I'll spend it if I have too though!

My last one lasted approx. 25 years.

PM me please anyone for any other solutions.

Well.....I did find 'New' torsion bars from a company DMC Houston recommended www.dmoco.com is the company reproducing the original part, although not cheap.

    On their website they mention....

"We caution against buying used torsion bars you may find for sale on sites like ebay. You are never going to be sure on what you are getting in a used 27+ year old bar. These new bars are tested and built better than the originals"

These new bars, after searching everywhere, are the best deal I could find @ $910.00 each!

So.....the wife said, "Go ahead and purchase one, lots of driving days left this season", I just LOVE her perfect answer!
