3 loud pops when turning on igniton
A few years ago as I was assembling my car after a frame off restoration, I turned on the ignition and heard a loud pop coming from the front. This happened 2 more times when I turned on the igniton later.
My car was almost finished in the interior, everything connected. Any idea what it could be?
I later had a problem where the AC stopped working due to a bad connection to the AC diodes which broke my low pressure switch.
I don't know how long the AC diode was disconnected, or if it was disconnected at this time (I would guess so, but then again I don't know how long the low pressure switch would last like this)
I suspect some diodes to the fans or something, but that is probably just two.
If i remember correct the diodes for the blower motor was okay!
As far as I know everything works.
The blower motor is a little noisey and I'm not exactly blown away from the air coming out of the vents, but other than that, it is Ok!

Capacitors will make a loud pop when they blow apart. There are no diodes feeding fan motors because that would creat a lot of heat in the diode and a voltage drop.

Okay!
Pardon my french, maybe that was what I meant!
Any capacitors come to mind?

There is one capacitor for each cooling fan in the harness near the fans.

What is their purpose? (As both fans work)

For AM radio noise. I removed my capacitors.

Any thoughts on what would have caused it? I have DPNW fans and aftermarket cd/Bluetooth player if it matters.

It may not be the capacitors that made the noise. But if so, you got a high voltage glitch on the fan circuit.
