Any use for used, unknown condition steering racks?
While going through storage I came upon 2 Delorean steering racks. I know one came from a good condition car with an engine fire. The other came from an old parts car. Both would be considered used and condition unknown. I know you can get new steering racks now for pretty cheap. Is there any reason to keep these things around anymore for rebuild?

There is core charge on the pinion gear with DMCH. So that's worth something.

Keep them and have them rebuilt. The aftermarket ones are junk

What makes the aftermarket ones junk?

Most of the vendors rebuild the racks so they pay a core charge for them. May not be a lot with the shipping cost though.

Reach out to Rob at PJ Grady, he rebuilds them and may be interested in purchasing them as cores. So far, he’s the go to guy for these rack rebuilds, he practically makes them “bullet proof”. If you need a rack, get a rebuilt from him, do not get the repros.
