    Rebuilding fuel distributor..

I was going to send mine to midwest dmc to have it rebuilt as it is now 40 yrs old and im sure the orings are hardned.. but it works perfectly fine and i have never had an issue with it... the cost to rebuild these is now 700 rather than the 495 it was.. should i just leave it alone if it works fine?? or does anyone else have other rebuild options?? thanks...

$700 for a rebuild? That's mental. Did they say why the price suddenly doubled?

I do agree with David above, but if you really feel the need to have it rebuilt. I used Fuel Injection Corp in California about a year ago and I think I paid $395. They did amazing work and the turn around was super quick.

I believe they did come with new copper washers. I have had my car on the road for a few months now. Everything working amazingly.

I second Fuel Injection Corp. They are family owned and been in the biz for a long time. In fact, they told me some of our vendors go through them.

They recalibrated my WUR. It looked brand new when I picked it up. They also pressure tested my FD for basically nothing. I dropped both off in person as I'm only 30 miles away. I can't recall what they charged for a FD rebuild, but I think it was $395. I was there back in April.

This vendor is right here in Northern Calif. https://fuelinjectioncorp.com/
Good to know some of our vendors approve.
Heard about them for the first time just two weeks ago in a chat with friend who's a very experienced NorCal D owner. He spoke highly of them. I was asking about injector cleaning in case it ever becomes an issue on our car.

Unless it changed recently, they dont clean injectors anymore. I sent mine along with everything else and they called me saying they couldn't do those. Or maybe it was just at the specific time.
