How Did You Do The Door Latch Modification/Wedgectomy

    Hey all,

I want to perform the door latch modification on a new set of latches. After reading the instructions, it says to use a new, razor sharp, thin blade to slice out the Anti-Lock Lever. Sounds easy, but after attempting it a few times, it's easier said that done. Has anyone done this and found an easier way to go about it?

I used a dremel with the engraving cutter attachment, 105 I think. Worked perfectly.

A few people on Facebook stated that they used a soldering iron to melt the plastic out which in turn kept any debris from getting into the door latch from grinding/cutting.

I used the soldering iron and that seems to be the best way. Fast and easy to do.
