    AC low pressure switch

Today I jumped the low pressure switch and I have AC. That's good news, but of course the switch being bad is not. So does anybody know if you can remove the low pressure switch without reclaiming the freon? On my Bronco there's a shrader valve under the switch, so you can change it out without losing the freon. I have the recovery equipment, but don't really feel like doing that. (Crossing my fingers)

There is a schrader valve behind the switch. Sometimes they stick/leak, sometimes they are left out. But normally you can change the switch in seconds. The switch will often leak at the adjustment screw between the electrodes. Common problem.

Before replacing the switch you should actually measure the pressures, the switch may not be bad.

I had gauges on it. That's how I knew to jump the switch.
