    11408 gets a supercharger

Hey guys, wanted to share this years upgrades to my car.

    Currently running a 5.3L LS4 v8, with a Porsche G96.01 6 speed transaxle.
I am in the process of installing a LSA supercharger, found on the Chevy Camaro ZL1 or the Cadillac CTS-V.
To support this I am running a stronger clutch (good to 678ft lbs), a locking differential, poly suspension bushings, 5 lug wheel conversion, and larger (300mm) brakes all around.

It is an extremely tight fit but it will work. I have a goal of 500whp, I believe this is easily attainable. I am running a larger pulley which will put me at a modest ~10psi.

Better not let Rich see that. I'm pretty sure he molested my engine compartment last year.

Interesting to see that supercharger can run with such a small belt. All the others I have seen run with a massive belt.

The Whipple charger on my 2500 Cheyenne uses a factory style belt (just a bit longer...stock pulleys).

The OEM applications came with a 8 rib belt as you describe and I would love to run one. However the balancer I am using limits this. I have seen setups run the LSA up to 700whp on the 6 rib so I hope I will be ok. Seems promising.

I will need to extensively modify my rear closing panel to make room for the belt drive, also looks like I will need to cut a hole in my lower engine cover. I am not proud of this but I have no choice unfortunately. Ill try my best to make it look nice, you will be able to see the supercharger in the rear view mirror and through the louvers

Just run without the lower engine cover. It reduces engine bay/rear panel heat and shows off the engine through the rear 1/4 windows.
