Hotel Room Registration is Open for DeLorean 40th Birthday Bash

The Host Hotel Room Registration is now Open for DeLorean 40th
Birthday Bash in Crystal Lake, IL taking place Aug. 12-15, 2021 at
the Holiday Inn - Crystal Lake, which has been fully refurbished in
2020 and 2021, with new carpets in all public areas in May & June.

An Event Discounted Room Rate is available for Aug. 11 to Aug. 15
starting today, July 5 through July 25, so make sure to Register for
a room in the next few weeks. If initial block of rooms gets booked
prior to the July 25 deadline, feel free to post on the Forum and we
should have someone see it quickly enough to make sure we can
add another set of rooms to the block, prior to the deadline.

I tried a tinyurl link, but it did not pre-populate the Group Code or
the IATA#, but you can try https://tinyurl.com/DCS-Lite-2021 and
Add Group Code = DMC
Add IATA# = 99801505
May or may not work, depending on if Cookies are Accepted or not,
so try to get the long link to work (codes and dates pre-populated).

The Discounted Room Rate is $109 per night, with most rooms
recently reconfigured to two queen bed rooms, setup to sleep 4.
I’m not sure if “shoulder days” are available, especially before the
event, since All Pontiac Car Show takes place before DMC event.

Event Registration for the 40th Birthday Bash to be posted soon.
Event Registration is required for all Thursday and Friday activities.

Due to the special conditions of this near “post-pandemic” event,
we will be doing Event Registration much differently for 2021.

We plan to have an Event Registration link active later this week,
and Advance Registration is Required prior to Sunday, Aug. 8th.
There will be No On-site Registration at Event, so make sure
to Event Register before 8/08/2021, when the link is available.

There have been a few schedule updates this week, but not written in stone.

There has been enough interest in Car Judging and Awards at the Show & Shine
at the DMC Midwest Open House, that this will most likely take place. There are
still several details to work out, but we have confirmed most of the judging team
and the basic classes that will be judged, however all details are not finalized yet.

There will be a mini POG Reunion (with 4 POGs confirmed this week), and there
are a few RSVPs that we are waiting on. The POGs will take part in the Friday
evening session (after dinner break), which will include Ask a POG interviews.
Self-guided Driving tour details may be made available for Wednesday afternoon.

As mentioned elsewhere, Event Registration will be very different than in the past
and a link will be available next week. There will be no dinner purchases required.
If you plan to attend both the DeLorean 40th Birthday Bash and MW Open House,
you need to register for both. Contact DMC MW to register for Free Open House.
