I am constantly battling rattlesnakes out where I hunt in west Texas. One time I killed a pair of them and cut off their heads with a shovel. I buried the heads and left the rest on ground. When I returned a day or two later, some critter(s) had dug up the heads and drug off the rest. Dogs and other domestic and non-domestic animals can tolerate snake venom much better than humans.Originally Posted by Helirich
