Rodents are plenty bad enough but is that a Scotch Lok I see? If so that means a two-legged animal was in there before and, in my experience, those DPOs do even worse things to wiring.

Took a break from working for an hour today.
I was thinking it would be good if the washer fluid cover had a metal ring holding it on. Especially since some of the screw holes got messed up in the removal process.
I drew out the shape on some card stock.

I then measured in approximately 1/2" and drew the inside edge.

I looked around my shop and found exactly what I was looking for, a 1/8" thick piece of aluminum flat stock.

I cut out the card stock and used it to trace out onto the aluminum.

I also drilled more holes in the bottom of the cover. I'm not sure if it matters but I made sure to drill the holes away from where the washer tank sits.

It's funny what things are really valuable in stock form. Turns out these covers and the washer tank are NLA. If you manage to find one they are really expensive so I need to try to make this one work.
