Car has ZERO electrical power - please advise

I went through an ordeal putting in a new fuel pump; my tank opening was too small for the DPI pump and gasket, so I had to get a different tank. After swapping tanks out, I got everything put back together and ready to go; or so I thought.

I tried to turn on the car to prime the pump and got NOTHING. I don't mean the pump wouldn't come on; I mean no lights, no starter: nothing. I get voltage from the battery at the back of the car; positive terminal on engine bay to grounding on the engine block.

I had considered it was because I had the binnacle out, but that wouldn't account for a lack of headlights.

    Any advice is appreciated.

Did you unbolt the front frame extension ground for some reason?

And your gas tank didn't work with the DPI pump? That's a new one for me. How's that even possible?

I don't think I unbolted it; will double check. My front frame extension is rough and I'm getting the car ready for a replacement.

As for the pump, the opening was out of round. It was too snug on the sides to allow the pump to slide in. It went right in my new tank like a glove. I imagine QC didn't measure the diameters of the fuel pump openings and, were I running a stock pump and baffle, I'd have never known it.

Make sure your alternator connection is seated.

Check the Main Relay and the Starter Relay and make sure the female connectors are completely seated in the sockets. One time one of the wires on my Starter Relay was not quite seated and it gave me intermittent no-crank problems for literally years before I figured that one out.
