Finally, solid lugs that fit correctly!

I received the lug nuts from the seller I mentioned in my previous comment. Instead of 30 lug nuts, I received 3, so I don't recommend purchasing from that seller. It also looks like prices for them have gone up on eBay, unfortunately. If I come across a good, affordable source of them, I'll post it.

I found the Dorman 611-221 lug nuts on Rock Auto. Their prices were better than any of the eBay sellers (which I didn't want to have to deal with again), but not as good as the original 10 that I bought. Rock Auto sell them in packs of 10 and 5.

Michael, I saw your post and found a set of these on eBay for 30 bucks. And got them. How are you is holding up now?

If there was one thing that hurt the looks of my car, it was the lugs beat to death by shops and their damn impacts..most are just too lazy to use a torque wrench and I now refuse to let anyone near it with an impact to tighten them.

I was detailing my frame a few weeks ago and could'nt get one lug off(don't get me started on how mad I was about that). Finally after wrenching the cover off yet another lug I decided to find a set that works.

I found plenty of lugs, but nothing would work on the front wheel. Every lug I tried stuck out too much on the fronts...until now, I found a set at a Honda dealer, and the same socket size to boot. They are just a little shorter than factory lugs, which is fine as long as they don't bottom out on the stud. Here are some pics of some of my old lugs with the new Honda lug I found:



Here they are mounted on the front wheel...they are actually a little shorter than factory but suprisingly don't bottom out on the stud and still look nice:


And here is the part number, I have no idea what kind of Honda they came off of, and I doubt that a year/model would help anyway because of the different trim levels/wheels offered on the same model car during the same year. So here is the part number if you want a set. The good news, they are polished and solid, the bad news, I paid almost 100.00 for the set. Mine still look new. FWIW, Bill Robertson found a set at Advance or AutoZone that work and do not stick out in the front either but he refused to confirm if they were covered or solid. I'm sure if someone were resourceful they could find them elsewhere too but 30 bucks for 16 Honda OE lugs is pretty damn cheap. The thing with OE lugs is they will hold up long term. Unlike most aftermarket junk, the plating will not flake off from to many visits to the car wash. This picture was taken 5 minutes ago and they still look like they were installed yesterday.

I was doing a little research today and found another option.

DORMAN 611-310

They are 3mm longer than the honda lugs, but 3mm shorter than 611-221.

Most importantly they have a 60 deg flat seat, as apposed to the honda lug nut curved seat.
I am aware the honda lug nuts "work" for Michael, but they are not the correct seat.

Michael, did you see my picture in the newer lug nut thread? When I installed the Honda lugs, the top started to bulge. What do you think the issue is?

Either your lugs are wrong, your studs are too long (got your spacers on the rear?) Or mine are just too right.
