Wished I could have met him, seemed like a very genuine, likable soul. I hope Mr. Collins and Mr. DeLorean are racing cars in the sky

I actually sold Bill the only DeLorean he ever owned, in 2008.

Really, sad. Truly the end of an era. I took a few minutes and thumbed through my "Delorean Stainless Steel Illusion" book by John Lamm and it's amazing what a huge role Bill played in making our beloved Delorean car come to fruition. I also perused the facebook posting and learned that he was incredibly generous towards, and loved by, the Northport, MI community.
VR6 engine (367 rwhp/377 ftlb); Type T4 turbo; A/R=0.70/0.68; Air-to-air intercooler, Megasquirt MS3 Pro, Manual tranny w/ HD output shaft; Remote mounted oil filter.
Adjustable dampers and ride height springs from QA1/DriveStainless; SS triangulated LCA brackets, boxed in LCAs, PU bushings, ventilated front brake rotors - all from DMCEU; UCAs with -3 deg camber from Reid Performance; 15" rear rims x 4

That had to have been a memorable transaction, he must have legions to tell you about the car.

When I was doing research I believe I found that my VIN was close to his. Also oddly my car has no history on record until 1995 in MI when it was first registered.
