NORCAL- Innaugural DeLorean Connect Event Sept 16, 2023

For those you west coast based who cannot travel to the DCS show this year, we have something for you.

The inaugural "Delorean Connect" event will be on Sept 16, 2023 located in San Carlos, CA.

The Delorean Connect series of events will occur semi annually and will always be west coasted based, at least thats the plan.

Hosted by Me and Norcal Delorean Club members, the event this year will focus on social activities for DeLorean owners and enthusiasts in a full, one day event.

This years event will feature the following:

1. DeLorean car show and shine
2. Group lunch
3. Tech Talk with special guest speaker
4. Memorabilia display
5. Evening group activities

Registration will be required and more information will be posted soon as it becomes available. There will be a TBD registration cost to cover event venue rental, food and other costs.

If you can attend, please make your travel plans now. We are not coordinating a hotel this year, but there are plenty of options available for you to choose from located in and around the San Carlos, CA airport.

Hi Mark,

Congrats on launching your first DeLorean Connect event for this Fall.

I know we have been discussing this via PM since before the pandemic,
and I’m very glad you were able to launch DeLorean Connect this year.

As we are all becoming aware, with the passing of Bill Collins earlier
this year, that many DMC VIPs are getting above the age where they
prefer not too travel far from home. We were glad to see that Bill was
able to attend the VIP event for Framing John DeLorean in 2019 in
Traverse City, MI, near his home, and there are several DMC VIPs on
the West Coast that choose not to travel across country, but may be
interested in attending a DeLorean Connect event, closer to home.

info for several DMC VIPs on the West Coast, to invite to your event.

This is great.
There is zero chance I could make it this year (schedule and money), but I now have this on my radar for two years from now. I've only been to DCS 2014 and local events; I would *love* to be able to make a weekend trip (single day drive) to an event like this. In two years I absolutely intend on making this.

Every one is welcome to join, from anywhere, not just those "west coast based".

I only said that because for those of us who are west coast, its a bit far to go to DMC Midwest for their open house event in Illinois or to DCS happening at the same time this year.

I know most of you are focusing on DCS this coming weekend but I wanted to remind you all of this event later in September, in California.

Delorean Connect's purpose is host events to which would gather owners and enthusiasts together, in person, on the West coast of the USA for an opportunity to connect, have fun, show off your car, learn something new, meet old friends, and make new ones, in a social setting at a cool, unique venue.
