Happiest Day for a New Owner

Just found this video on youtube, a new owner picked up his "barn find" stored for 32 years in an old garage.

As someone who got a DeLorean working that had also been garaged since 1991, I can tell you that he doesn't seem to know what is in store for him :P

I met him at SEMA last year and he seems to knows away around cars. Hopefully he does the necessary D research to get it running well and updated.

The dude knows stuff and different build details, but then still says things like:

"... parts are difficult to come by..."

"this is the speedo, it only goes up to 80" (while pointing at the Tach)

"they have tow hooks at the 4 corners because they knew they would be breaking down alot"

Is he just ignorant or acting for the camera?

wish him the best of luck!!! decent chance he ends up here, eventually, i would guess. if he knows what's good for him! i got nervous when he backed the car onto a trailer, and then proceeded to drive without securing the rear louvers..... also, the mechanical stuff looks to be straight forward, but that mold situation? yikes. that's a complete interior/headliner/carpet removal job, at the very least.... is that a 33k car nowadays?

Alex from LSC knows his way around cars. He's a former Mercedes tech and has a pretty extensive list of cars he's owned, built, and restored. I've been subscribed to his channel for a few years now and he recently hit 1M subscribers. Definitely worth checking out some of this other builds on the channel.

Yeah, he made some questionable jokes and a few minor blunders in his video, but I'll chalk that up to excitement of new ownership. He's still working his way through the DeLorean ownership learning curve like we all did.

He seems to have a relationship already with the guys at DMCMW, so I can't wait to see what kind of collaboration they come up with for the build. I'm assuming an LS swap with help from Josh and some other suspension and brake upgrades.
