When you watch this kind of stuff you have to accept that it is for entertainment purposes and clicks and subscribers. They all take liberal license with the facts. They add drama and deadlines. This is not really meant for people on this list who have been through this and know what it really is all about but it is entertaining. If you like this kind of stuff there is another channel to watch. Check out Vise Grip Garage/Roadworthy Rescues on youtube. Another good one is Full Custom Garage. That guy Ian is a genius. The stuff he does with simple tools is incredible. To be able to this kind of stuff you really have to know what you are doing even if you act like you don't.

Being from Fargo, ND, I actually saw this car in person in about 2002. I was at a car show and was told that a man at that address (he ran a financial planning service out of his house) had a DeLorean. So I went over one day to say hello, turned out he had a copy of a newspaper article that had my picture with my DeLorean in it from a feature they ran that week on his desk. He showed me the car and it looked exactly like it did in this video. Dusty as hell, tons of rodent damage, mold, flat tires, he had boxes on top the car, etc. He said he bought it new and the auto trans started acting up. No one could figure out what was wrong so he parked it and hadn't touch it since. He said he parked it in the mid 90's. Anyway I told him it's probably the computer governor and there are solutions now. I volunteered to help him get it running again and he said he'd think about it. Never heard from him again.

I noticed he towed it backwards. I don?t think that is a good idea. Especially, on a unknown car. If the trunk or louver latches were not working, there is a possibility of damage in the wind. When I went to get my non-running car, it was a pain, but I turned it around to tow it forward.

He towed to to a parking lot where he turned the car around on the trailer

Yeah, he made some questionable jokes and a few minor blunders in his video, but I'll chalk that up to excitement of new ownership. He's still working his way through the DeLorean ownership learning curve like we all did.

He seems to have a relationship already with the guys at DMCMW, so I can't wait to see what kind of collaboration they come up with for the build. I'm assuming an LS swap with help from Josh and some other suspension and brake upgrades.
Me too. I've been watching him for the Mercedes stuff as I have a couple diesel Benz.

He's pretty knowledgeable, but he does dramatize stuff for the camera.

Bro had me rollin'. THE DAY OF RECKONING IS COMING!!! Weird video, the guy would seem like he knew his shit. THen would say dumb shit like parts are hard to get, the speedo issues then point at the tach etc. At least he knew not to tow it backwards. Hes a pretty big youtuber it seems, so money7 shouldnt be an issue to get the car going for him at least. At least it wont be some hack fraud who burns the car down for insurance money like that other clown lmao.

There is a whole bunch of youtubers out there who take a car and work on it. While they don't usually make a lot of money fixing and flipping the car, like the reality shows, that isn't the point. The car is the prop for the show, it is all about the clicks. The more clicks, the more the advertisers will pay. Then a lot of them also have channels where they sell "merch", cups, Tee shirts, key chains, etc. It is not only cars, just about anything can be used as a basis for a channel. Guns, antiques, airplanes, boats, all kinds of stuff. I call it "Mechanical Porn". Some of them try to suck you in by doing multiple episodes for the same thing, that way they can do it more in depth keeping each episode short enough so you will watch the whole thing and come back for more. To do it well and look stupid you really have to know your stuff while trying not to show it. This guy knows what he is doing even if he doesn't show it. He is an entertainer and he plays to his audience. His enthusiasm is catching. Many of us have been there and done that. Another one is Hoovies Garage and his Wizard. These youtubers try to pick unusual cars that the audience would be interested in, like a Delorean. Just about every reality show has done an episode on a Delorean.

I'm watching part 3 now and am quite impressed with him so far. As an owner, I certainly don't know all the details and nuances of my car, so I'll give him plenty of slack for getting his facts wrong here or there. Overall, I find it very entertaining, especially as he tackles some things that I've never had to deal with, like recoloring/refreshing of the moldy leather seats and the removal of the front fascia. I hope he keeps making fast progress and that his videos keep coming out as fast as they have been up to this point.
