Low beam Headlight Function Not Working

I recently replaced the headlights and have them wired to have all 4 on at the same time and I have done the wiring update with the black / red-blue / white-blue rotation to the sockets. Since I got the car the low beams have not worked and I assumed the switch was bad. Checked the fuses and replaced the switch still only high beams work. The switch I installed is the DMC upgraded switch and still only the high beams work, the low beam function just lights up the center console but the headlights still don't come on. Is there anything else I can check to find what may be causing this?

You didn't mention the relay. Did you check the relay?

    This should help: https://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?4...ing-Schematics

Check the relay and the fuse first. If the fuse is good and your car still has its original fuse block, try wiggling the fuse in the block and see if that does anything.

I had a similar problem recently and it turned out to be the relay. One of the pins in the relay had pushed a wire down out of the socket and hence no contact. I pushed the wire back into socket and everything was fine.

If the "LOW BEAM LIGHT" in the center console comes on it would to be a wiring issue.

Checked and double checked the fuse. I can try replacing the relay, just checking it's changeover relay #1.

I had an issue with no low beams, there was a contact inside the column where the switch goes that dislocated.

I had this problem for over two years, drove me nuts. For a time I had to bypass the master light switch and resorted to turning my low beams on with a toggle switch I wired in from the relay. I only found out it was that really slender contact on the high beam stalk when I had the steering column cover off to do something else. I secured it MacGyver style with a paper clip that is still proudly there today.
