So in the video, they say a Delorean goes for 110 to 160 depending on condition. If that?s true, why doesn?t everybody selling their?s just ship it there? Shipping might be 3-4 thousand. What am I missing?Originally Posted by Delorean DMC12

He's probably talking Australian dollars. Still that's $71K to $103K give or take. Still a lot of money. Getting a car into Australia can be a lot of work and customs can be a pain to deal with, from my understanding. The car has to be absolutely clean any little part of a bug or some dust and they will reject it. Plus they will disassemble anything they want for that inspection. If it passes you have to deal with the aftermath. So they just took your toy apart then they give it back and you have to reassemble it. This is just a simple for instance I'm sure I'm missing more details.

been away from the forum for a number of years, nice to be back.
Over 100k here would be a very nice original example, have seen a few daily driver examples sell for around 60-80k Australian.
