G&P Wolfhead Sanding and Polishing Wheel

Hi folks. Looking to find a decent sanding/polishing head for the day I need to regrain some scratches in the Delorean. I contacted G&P directly but have not heard back from them yet. Let me know if you have any idea where I could resource one of these. -Thanks!

G&P is the source for new ones. Be advised that there is a learning curve with the tool. It is not a magic fix-all for grain issues, and can impart severe damage if not used properly.

    Other options below:

Deloreango offers their version of a flap tool:

    https://www.deloreango.com/us/regrai...lap-wheel.html

There are also an assortment of heads you can use from Eastwood, provided you have the actual tool to put them on:

I have the tool and a number of the Eastwood heads but I have not tried to regrain my car with them yet.

    Dan,

Really appreciate the feedback and the orienta To Eastwood?s products. I?ve seen that tool in a number of videos, but didn?t know when sold it. I will probably pick up one of these with a few different heads and see what it does to the stainless refrigerator in my garage. I?ll post some pics so you can see what it does.

Eastwood is not the only one who sells the tool, you can also pick it up on Amazon, just search "burnishing polishing machine" and you'll get a list of them, some less than $80. You can also get the drums/wheels on there too. At one time there was a question posted for either the tool or one of the drum/wheels from someone with a DeLorean asking if or how it would work on the car, so I know someone with one has tried it in the past. That was years ago and I can't find the posted question now to see if it had a name attached to it.

    This is the equivalent tool:

    https://www.harborfreight.com/power-...ool-58079.html

I have experimented with it on panels, but I don't really recommend it - at least without the proper head - it's too wide, and it's very difficult to be even like you can by hand. People get upset when I mention this too, so here we go again ;-)
