Looks like the Alpha V is on life support

Who would have ever thought this was a BS con from day one?

If this goes mainstream, it will "re tarnish" the brand's reputation just as we were shaking off the old shell of misconceptions and begining to earn respect in the car culture. I can see the headlines already

"DeLorean screws over a new generation from the grave".

Good catch there. Agreeing with your assessment of that posting from a San Antonio local.

Looked for recent status updates from other local sources, found none.

The San Antonio Current has no DMC stories since Jan. 24, 2024 when they detailed the termination of the city's employment incentive contract with DMC. Here are a few sentences from that 3-month-old story.
"Both the city and the county were ready to back DeLorean with public incentives: a 10-year tax abatement from the county, and up to $562,000 from the city based on the number of jobs created. It was all full of grand hopes and promises.

    Until it fizzled.

Earlier this year, DeLorean officials asked to terminate the incentive deal. The firm had seen a leadership change and scaled back the launch plans for its first car...."

Sounds like business as usual for DMCH.

Trying to catch up on what I've missed as of late. It would appear that some key leadership is now missing.

I would like to assume positive intent, but if Tesla is facing declining sales and profit loss, I am very curious to know what the plan here is to defy that trend.

I do have some reservations about this reporter. However, ignoring the press is a surefire way to piss them off. Chuck Bennington proved that in Belfast.

On the bright side, the cash from this boondoggle got us some new LFFs so I guess there's that...

Second, while I would imagine that there is some sort of LLC or other legal protections in place, I do hope that this doesn't jeopardize the parts supplies in case they somehow become tied up in a legal battle from any lawsuits attempting to recover losses that could arise from this.
