    3.0L Swap and support

I'm resurrecting this thread from the old forum.

    Who's done it? What's involved?

I have a 3.0L Eagle Premier junkyard engine. I'd like to eventually swap it in to one of my cars, and build it out/etc, especially if I could get a donor lower crank case (so that I don't have to disassemble a good/working D engine to get started).

I believe there is a b27 engine with the same lower crank case as us, I thinks it's from a Renault.

Why wouldn't you use the crank from the 3.0 engine? Or is it just a block?

Are you wanting an odd-fire 3.0L?
Yeah, it's dirty. I drive it.

I'm not sure if it'll end up being even or odd fire. Right now I just want to learn what's involved so that I can make some reasonable choices.

It's way down the road, I just want to start talking, thinking, and planning.

The lower half of the engine is swapped to bolt it in to the Delorean, as I understand the 3.0 swap.
