VIN: 2964 Wings-A-Loft System! Door poppers and alarm!

    Hi all,

Today was crazy! I spent almst all day trying to figure out and put together the Wings-A-Loft system!! Door poppers, and alarm system!

Is there anyone out there who has done it them selves, and has plenty of pictures, mainly of the whole relay connections, and where to tap in for the door release actuators. And tapping into the correct wires! It was a bit confusing based on the instructions.

I though tI had it together and I thought I tapped into one of the Black wires leading to the doors. When I connected the car battery, the alarm was beeping, doors were just locking I think, and the relays and the Blue wire connected to one of the Black tapped wire door release, became Super Hot!!! I disconnected everything.

Here are some pictures I took!

Here are the 2 wires, RED and BLACK, bolted on, directly to Positive and Negitive as the instructons said! The only thig is, what is connected to these?? I never saw anything in the instructions that have to be connected on them

SO if an expert on this can really really really help me on this with some info, or good pictures!! I would really appreciate it!!!!

    Thank you all!!!!

I am just so confused just looking at your photos...I can't make out what is what... :/

I would start by NOT using those plastic terminals. Maybe once you figure out how to properly install it, I would solder and shrink wrap everything together. for a stronger and safer connection. I have had wires pop out and make contact with pieces of metal. No good!!

I would honestly try calling Toby from DMCNW, he is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, maybe he can help you tackle your problem. If I were you, I would try starting from scratch and slowly work my way through the directions.

Billy is running this through both DMC Help and this forum. I can see many problems arising from this. I have suggested strongly that he contact me directly. Things are a bit messed up with his installation. Fire is a strong possibility at this point. I'm just sayin' ...

You better call Toby and unplug your battery! You don't want your car to be Fire-A-Loft!

That is my garage! Thanks! Also, that's my car and the demonstration I did on the Wings-a-Loft operation...It was very easy to install because Lockzilla and Remotezilla were installed before I purchased the car. You can see how the actuator works and is wired if you look at the picture. The ground goes to one of the screws that holds it in the door and the other wire connects to the ground wire from the lock solenoid. You just have to trace the wires behind the rear side panels for the opposite side of the door you are connecting...it's all in the manual. If you figure out one wire at a time it becomes much easier. I did have to call Toby a couple of times but he helped me quickly sort it all out. If you have any specific questions I can help you regarding hooking up the wingsaloft setup. I also did the trunk popper and it works great too! Thanks Toby!
