Maybe we need a thread of stupid things we did to our D's. I have a couple dooooosies! But I'd only post them if I could post anonymously. Welcome to the DeLorean-OOPS club. It is well populated.

    - No matter how many people believe in a dumb idea ... it is still a dumb idea!
    - Some cars look fast. Some cars look faster than time!
    - The question is not "where did the time go" but rather "where to go in time".

In a time crunch, drove without the header panel on the windshield thinking it was mostly cosmetic. Realized it held the front of the T-panel in place after it bent straight back...

I once tripped over the floor jack in my garage, sending the handle directly into the left rear fender.

    steering loss

No it was on a road in South Dakota. Ended up in the
ditch. Back on the road two hours later. I had replaced
the u-joint three years earlier and failed to put the coupling
on far enough so the pinch bolt was in front of the shaft
instead through the groove. I did make a trip to Vegas in
    the mountains during that time.....

Put on new tires (replacing the 20+ year old ones), Flushed brake fluid and replaced all the brake pads. What a difference!
