A new radio would be a bittersweet gift for me. Such a PITA job to do lol. I really don't want to mess with it again.

Second time around should be much easier if it is the same DIN size, I think? Might just need a different wiring harness adapter.

I swapped the old o-ring under the FD with a brand new one and now my car hunts like crazy open-looped. The o-ring must not be seated properly to create a tight seal.

Make sure your connector on the vacuum advance solenoid is connected. Hard to see how that O-ring would cause hunting unless it hits the plunger.

All I did was disconnect the center fuel line from the FD, tilt the bottom towards me, put the new o-ring on, and then screwed the FD back into place. I'll double check the vacuum advance. Thanks Dave.

What made it nice and easy with my car was the fact that I replaced it with a Alpine and coming from already having an Alpine I was able to reuse the sleeve and the main pin connector and all I had to do was run a new wire for the Bluetooth radio and XM satellite antenna.
