I inspected the interior of my roof box and found some rust so decided to take some action. The roof box was secure but the centre section had bowed with a 1/4" gap. So sealed that up. Managed to remove torsion bar tilting door past vertical and used long bolts.

I sent my fuel tank cover plate off to get refinished. They did a good job with what I gave them - baked it first to burn off the old epoxy and black undercoating (1982 undercoated car), then media blasted it, then powder coated it Card Black. I chose black as an homage to the car's undercoated history. It looks great however you can still see the pitting the rust caused after 40 years of neglect. If I were able to do it myself I would tried to sand down the pitting, or filled it with bondo, but for the price I paid I'm not complaining. Good enough!

Removed the Mustang II QA1 springs and installed the correct 8CS300 springs with Energy 9.6105G isolators up front. You can see the difference…

I thought my rough ride was because the shocks had too much power, but it was the springs all along! Front suspension actually articulates now!
Also installed TAB washer shims on my LCA stabilizers so they don’t rub the frame…

Been routing MS3 wiring the past few days. Also adding an AC compressor relay so the MS3 can control both compressor and cooling fans.
Going EDIS for now because it’s easy and quick, but running all injectors individually for future ability to add sequential either with the PRV or perhaps another V6 sometime.
This is going to be interesting to tune as I have zero experience with gas vehicles. All my tuning experience are diesels. In fact, the D is my only gas car.
I am definitely excited to get this done as I haven’t driven my car for more than 4 years now…

Almost finished up the relay compartment. Just need to run the new wiring to cooling fans. I’ve pulled the entire main harness from the front to install 10 AWG wire for the fans and iBooster. Since I have an early car, Fuse 18 will become 30amp for iBooster.
I just want to integrate while I have the harness opened.
Going to have the MS3 run AC compressor and fans. Trans kickdown will come from a high current output. RPM, CLT, etc. will be transmitted to my Dakota Digital cluster via CAN Bus.

Also beginning wiring.
I’m pretty glad I changed the car to Deutsche DT connectors in 2016. Now it’s easy to find and swap contacts. No special tools.
