Ahh, that was it. I think I'd read your writeup from when you made that modification to your car. I do like the idea of having the lines connect directly as you have instead of through the adapter blocks!

This pic shows how the lines route with my SD7 / type Q-something (QD?) cylinder head. With the OEM style SD5 they were farther up and kind of in the way.

I think he was trying to figure out where to test. Or he was enjoying having the car in the bay and the people coming over to talk to him about it good test of my cooling system though!

The further back I get away from the entrance door, the less dust I encounter. But there are definitely a few millimeters of dust all over the car. I wish I had recorded it: I opened the trunk to check in the trunk for some more of my stuff (gas struts still work like new!), and then slammed the bonnet down to lock it. The gargantuan dust cloud that blew off the windshield and roof was just comical.

Yesterday I installed a battery disconnect switch. I was looking for a simple, nonintrusive unit:

I liked the yellow zinc plating. Here it is installed, on the negative post as recommended. Just tighten the green knob to turn the battery on, and loosen it to disconnect. You can also remove the knob as a measure of antitheft security.

Yesterday, I installed the new AC compressor on the engine and finished some of my door switch wiring. However, while I was in the fuse compartment, I found that my fuse block melted to shit.

Still waiting for DPI to ship my AC lines....
