How many cans did you use on the louvers and did you spray them front and back.
Nice job btw.
I have 2 cans on the shelf ready to go.

Thanks! Sadly, I used about 4.5 and that was ONLY for the front, but it's probably my fault. I was trying the technique of spraying from a distance to get a textured effect, but that meant it went on very thin with each coat and I think too much of the paint dried before hitting the surface or didn't hit the surface at all, so I had to keep applying more to get it looking even and dark. I'd say if I sprayed closer or knew better what I was doing, I'd have been closer to 2 cans.

Time to go shopping again then. Luckily I have an actual store nearby.

how hard was it to remove and re install the louver from the car for the painting? You did a great job on the side louvers. What did you do to prep them? Wet sand with a sponge or something. I am sure you just didnt go at it with the paint.

Thanks! Removing and reinstalling the louvers was pretty easy, it's best to have another person help to support the weight of the other side when removing and refitting. Refitting was a bit of a pain though because they can bolt on too forward, or too backwards, too high or too low, so it takes some trial and error to get them back on right.
I sanded them with 320 grit sandpaper (400 wasn't available) and cleaned with rubbing alcohol and hosed it off a couple times to get the sanding dust off.
Only a few odds and ends over past couple of weeks - shampooing the front and rear carpet mats, changing engine oil and filter, enjoying shakedown cruise #11, etc.
Available time now severely impacted due to birth of second daughter.

Moved it for the first time in over a week, to get it into the middle of the garage. Started up instantly thanks to the new thermotime switch!
Installed my passenger side door strut reinforcing bracket. While I was waiting for the RTV to cure I finally reinstalled the center headliners. They look great! Still have to trim back the edges and glue them over the tub under the door seals, which will be a job for tomorrow.
