Drove the D back to work after lunch. Temp gauge stays right below the 1/4 mark. Brakes had not heating problem. When I got home I checked the charging voltage at the jump terminal with engine at idle was 14.4 volts. I will check how much it goes up when it's cold.

Had a guy behind me at a stop sign taking a flash photo of my car.

What's your ambient temp there? Do you mean the mark between 100 and 220?

Just wondering if Ed's radiator really makes that huge of a difference Mine lives juuuust a hair above that mark, normally not quite enough to fire up the fans. But in the heat lately (91 out right now) it's been sitting more like halfway between that mark and the 220, especially with the Max A/C on.

Nothing has changed, that's where the OEM radiator held. Only thing I would see before if driving in the mountains, then the temp gauge would climb on those long up hill climbs. Yes the line between 100 and 220.

removed both door lock mechanisms from the driver's side door, completely "ungunked" them and re-installed.

    Dude, those doors.....man....

Me: Eddie, I can't wait to get the car back when you're done with it.

Eddie: Yeah, you'll be able to give the car gas, and it won't be - like - embarrassing....

I had my D shipped to DMCMW and it arrived there yesterday. I'm looking to have the stage 2 engine upgrade completed. They also started the full inspection on it yesterday.

Well worth it! Dave and his crew did a Stage 2 on mine and it turned out great. Also did the full inspection and we had many issues addressed and again, can't say enough good thongs about them. You will be more than satisfied.

I'm glad to hear you had a great experience with yours being serviced there. I feel like my car is in above average condition but I know of several items that need taken care of. I'm just crossing my fingers that the list from the inspection report doesn't brake my bank and I stlill have money to get the engine upgrade completed. Lol...I'm trying to get the car as right as possible and figured they would be the best people to help me get it that way.

went to a garage to fix what i thought was a serious problem with my left front wheel. Turns out the front drivers side shock dropped through the spring. seems there never was a bushing put on the top of the upper control arm and was missing a top washer. So what I thought was going to be a huge issue ended up just being a 35 buck repair. Phew
