Yeah. . . I would have liked to try and do the change over when I had actually rolled the old one over 100,000, but needed to redo cabled, angle drive, etc. so did not want to wait for that. That is why I took a number of before and after pics to help document the differences. Either I added 8000 miles to the car, or removed 92,000. At this stage in its life, I figure the additional 8k would not make a huge difference. . . and I have the differences documented in case I ever sell the car.

Didn't want to muck around with it too much. While I figured I could hook up a drill or my dremel and roll that forward until the mileage matched, I also figured it would be too much of a pain for 92,000 miles. No idea how long that would take.

Just ordered a DMOCO shift-plate. Hopefully it jives with 5875's shift linkage.

Took the car out for its first real drive in 20yrs and everything went very well. Got my Tail light saga figured out - I had intermittent flashing of turn signal bulbs, lights inop intermittently and they would dim and flicker intermittently. I had the rivets soldered and poof! All problems gone! The board must of had a bad ground issue. Now all lights work and are brighter than ever!

Technically I didn't do it, Danny and DMC California did but,

    Re-glued and bolted roof together
    Re-adjusted Torsion bars
    Adjusted drivers door alignment
Installed re-enforcement bracket for the door strut lower ball stud
New door struts and sunshade struts.

Yikes, all in a days work!

    Replaced Blower Fan

When I was searching specifically for a "Siemens PM106" previously, it resulted in Siemens having discontinued production. The part I bought was absolutely full of dust so it had been there for a long while. I've swapped the cage over and it fits fine. All thats left for that quick project is to put it back in the car.
Thanks to Jim for this post a couple hundred pages back on this thread.

While my fan worked, it was making horrible noises that were so concerning to my wife that she didn't want to drive in the car. Oiling the fan only went so far, fixed the screeching, but still noisy. I bought the PM106 Jim suggested, and it is a perfect fit, Identical to stock.

Pictures and video below for comparisons
