Thanks guys
Wow that would be fantastic Jonathan, yes please! That sample absolutely sparks some emotional memories of her experience with the D these past couple of years - it would be amazing to capture that in some way

I finished a refurb job on 712's louvers... I took on the process really, really slow... and not a rush job... here were my steps...
1) Top to bottom, wet sand with 3M 3000 grit. (I highly recommend only 3M products) 2) Degrease top to bottom with Dawn dish soap. (3) With a #2 pencil, circle each nic and scratch and tally the total amount and circle it on the fin. 4) Use Icing #26006 Polyester Finishing Putty (from Summit Racing Online) to fill in the scratches and or nics, pin holes, etc. 5) Sand down the Icing Polyester with 320 grit sand paper (wrap the 320 grit paper around a wood paint mix stick)... sand down each filling and block sand it down carefully and slowly no rush. 6) Repeat step 1 above. 7) Repeat step 2 above. Let is fully dry in the sun. 9) Used paint SEM 39143 (from Summit Racing Online). 10) One complete coat of SEM 39141 top to bottom. 11) Repeat step 1. 12) Dry in the sun. 13) 2nd coat of SEM 39141 repeated 14) Wet sand with 3M 4000 grit lightly and be careful with the edges and pretape them! 15) Rinse and dry.
Used a total of 2 SEM 39143 Trim Black spray cans in all and coated it twice.

i have removed, cleaned and reinstalled one of my drivers' door lock units. After removing a lot of old, dustry, thick grease and relubrication the door locks/unlocks so much easier now. A fresh lock and latch alignment procedure helped getting out the last gremlins. I got powerlocks again!
Here are the promised pics of the car with the cover on. I love it!

Of course with the classic "cardboard oil/coolant/tranny fluid drip pan" underneath.

The way I see it, if you're gonna drive around in a car, why not do it with some style?

...tried to start the engine again. The ignition coil is only getting 6v. No spark, no joy.
3.0L, automatic, carbureted
LIKE A GLOVE!..... The fit is great.... I bought a cover for mine before it was delivered... it has been 2 years, and my cover has not been out of the case it came in...The car is so easy to keep clean, and in CA I can drive it anytime..... Seems harder to PUT it on and TAKE off...
