It will happen! I know it is frustrating since you thought it would be done by now. Step away for a few weeks and come back when you are less frustrated and have another paycheck in your bank account.

Today I redid my passengers side CV boots again. I did both sides about 3 years ago but apparently didn't seal up the ends well on the passengers side. Was throwing grease everywhere. It is now all cleaned up again and ready for a MN-DMC get together tomorrow.

I reinstalled the third brake light on my car yesterday and hit all the wiring and when the louvers are closed you don't see anything.

I continued the sanding on the driver door. I'll have to look into new sandpaper as 3m pro grade has ceramic abrasive which gets dulled very quickly. I also scrapped out the walnut shells stuck around the window seals.

Changed out the angle drive. It really is much easier when you know how to attack it and have the right tools. But speedo still isn't working since my dad has misplaced my lower speedo cable...

I found the speedometer cable. Now I have a functional speedometer! It is somewhat bouncy below 25mph (around +/- 2mph), so Ill have to troubleshoot it when I get access to a drill and helper. I used all new parts so I might have installed something incorrectly.

repaired a tear in the original leather on the passenger seat and then removed an eyebrow that i had over the right high beams since they day i got the car.

    seat repair:
in order: the tear, gluing it. glue dried and shrunk, color matched compound heat curing, final results

    eyebrow removal:
clamp the fascia, but had to resort to busting out some heavy weights to help flatten it while applying heat. much better than it was

on a side note, when i pulled the front black grill off, i was greeted remnants of a mouse nest, complete with a dead mouse carcass. easily several years old (back from when the previous owner had the car sitting i'd assume). cleaned all that out and spruced up that cavity behind the grill a bit. that was... fun.

lastly, replaced the louver struts with new ones sourced from Pepboys (Stabilus P/N: SG359011)

sorry the site isnt orientating the photos correctly. if a mod wants to fix that, please be my guest.
