Had a bend in my T panel at the rear edge which bugged me so I removed it and hammered it straight with some large rubber mallets. Couldn't tell if it was always there since directly underneath there was some sharpie scribbling saying "ok" like it passed their inspection?

Installed a new Gates waterpump and got a nice pulley from the UK club. Replaced the vacuum hoses, ignition parts and all waterhoses. The car started on the first crank!image.jpgimage.jpg

This week I replaced 2 of 4194's side marker lamp sockets. For the first time in nearly 19 years of ownership all 4 marker lamps finally work.

I also replaced 5052's outer door seals and installed a set of stainless sill plate negatives.

Finally got around to replacing my defective Oil Pressure Sending unit with the Autozone "Duralast PS133" replacement part. I had previously replaced the factory original with a new unit from DMCH, but it never worked right. Oil pressure gauge would always stay pegged out at the 12 o'clock position. 5 minutes under the car and I had the new one installed and for the first time in 3 years, I actually have a working oil pressure gauge.

Replaced the SIM card in my cars GPS tracking unit. I have a Chinese made TK103B GPS tracking unit (found it on Amazon) installed in my car that operates on both a GPS signal and a cellular signal. I have both the GPS antenna and the cellullar antenna mounted underneath the plastic grill below the windshield and wipers, and since they are both black, you can't really see them. I had been using a SIM card from H2O wireless that operates on the AT&T network. Back in January of this year, AT&T shut down their 2G wireless network (old technology), which rendered my GPS unit completely useless. I found a company on Amazon (Speedtalk Wireless) that sells sim cards that operate on the T-Mobile network, that will work in my device. T-Mobile has agreed to continue 2G wireless service until the year 2020, so that will give me a couple of years to figure out what I'm going to repklace my GPS unit with. After about 10 minutes upside down under the dashboard, I had a working GPS again.

Replaced the marker lamp socket on the drivers side front fender with one that wasn't rusted and corroded. Installed a new LED lamp in there while I was at it.

Transmission coolant / converter pipe replacement - DMC part no.108493. Back in September Dave and Mike at DMC Midwest found a small leak in my hose / coolant pipe, and I bought the replacement part while I was there. I tried my best today to remove the old one, but it was determined it wasn't going anywhere. I got the connection loose at the transmission housing, but the connection at the coolant pipe would not budge. That connection is in a really awkward place that really doesn't accommodate big hands or big tools. I thought about dropping the coolant pipe out of the car and attacking it on my work bench, but I really don't want to open up the coolant system again if I don't have to. I've got it soaking in PB Blaster right now, hoping to try again tomorrow. Does anybody have any tips for this one.

Got my new radiator in, searched around some stores for stainless hardware for it then noticed it was in another bag. I got it fitted and tested the fans. I'll post pictures in my other thread.

    plate

I mounted the front plate on a hinge that swings in at speed.
But I also had "dark" plastic over it. Got by with just a warning.
