2012 Hampton Roads International Auto Show

Hello all! I am pleased and honored to announce that 1258 has been selected as a finalist for in the 2012 HRIAS Car of the Century Contest . I think this will provide good exposure for our community and that no car is more worthy of the title "Car of the Century" than the DMC-12.

Unfortunately, 1258 is not a "10" car so I doubt she'll win. Her facias are perfect but a little rough in the paint department. The trimmings and louvres can be easily taken care of with the "SS Glow" from DMCH but I don't know if I'll have time to get the facias painted. But, I'll do my best to represent the community. Regardless, I think its great that a DMC-12 has been selected as a finalist for "Car of the Century".

Hampton Roads International Auto Show Part 2

Well, 1258 didn't win. As expected the the 1933 Packard V-12 took the Car of the Century trophy. They wouldn't let us see the placings so I'm not sure which position out of the 11 she ranked. The cars in attendance were: 1903 Cadillac, 1914 Model-T Touring, 1928 Model-A Touring, 1933 Packard V-12, 1948 MG-TC, 1958 Corvette, 1962 Jeep Wagon, 1971 Chevrolet C-10, 1981 DMC-12, 1991 Porsche 928, 2001 Dodge Viper.
