They have no issues with risking your life, their life, and wrecking you to get a pic for their stupid facebook page..and they will most likely run if they do wreck you. If I run into someone driving like a jackass to get a picture, I simply pull over and come to a complete stop if I have to.

I have gone so far as to actually take the nearest exit off of the expressway and wait a minute or two for them to get well away from me before getting back on the expressway. Better safe than sorry ... well, our cars are 35 years old so better safe than dead. :P

There's a doc brown quote we don't toss around much from BTTF 2 that's relevant here:

    "He's in a _______, we're in a Delorean, he'd crush us like tin foil."
    Dave

    Here, somewhere.

At the DMV yesterday to get my temp reg, the clerk looked at my paperwork and she was like "Wait, WHAT kind of car is this?"

Me: "A DeLorean. You know, like in Back to the Future."

Her: "Does it run on gasoline?"

In retrospect maybe I should have said "No, plutonium." Then again government employees aren't exactly known for their senses of humor.

Pretty sure she was at least as old as me, too. Forever mystified that there are people walking around this earth who don't know what a DeLorean is. How empty their lives must be...

I believe so, yes. I spotted one at a cruise night this summer and asked the guy about that. He said every so often someone comes up and asks him about the BTTF connection. I wasn't in my DeLorean that day or would have tried to get a picture of them together.

There are a few jokesters in the Canadian government apparently. This was legitimately posted on the official government page, but got pulled down as maybe the person's supervisor didn't think it was all that funny.

I wonder what jokes you get if you show up with a BTTF clone since it would obviously have the FC.

I was at a gas pump today with the nozzle in the car and a guy walked up and asked me the same thing. Then it got worse from there:

Him: Cool a DeLorean! Does it run on regular gas?
Me: Nope. I'm just using the unleaded fuel to clean out the engine.
Him: Oh. So does it run then?
Me: Nope. I had it towed here just to clean it out.

He just nodded, stepped back, and watched me get in and drive off. He's probably still standing there trying to work it all out in his head.
