Guy at Autozone compliments me and says "Good job keeping that thing on road. You know? The problem with those things is the rubber tends to go out so you'll want to change all that stuff out. But then you have to find the parts and it'll cost you. There's actually a place out in Texas that actually has a bunch of the parts."

I mean come on. He just complimented me on maintaining my car then mentions a place to buy parts to maintain my car. How stupid do they think we are? Have you ever googled anything Delorean without DMCH being one of the top results?

Eh, that's not really stupid at all. He's not wrong, and nobody outside of DMC ownership knows how well-known DMC is in that circle.

I went to a show yesterday with the car. Out of the tons of people coming by, there was a husband and wife that, as they're walking around, the guy says "you know there's a place in Texas with all the parts, etc etc". The wife then follows with "honey, I think he probably knows that."

It was very satisfying.

I have a full size replica I put in mine every so often. If the people laugh and get all giddy over it and it makes their day then it makes my day. So be it, I have a Flux capacitor in my car because the fans demand it.(and I only paid 125.00 for it on ebay)
