I had a similar one yesterday, only replace Lee Schwab with Kauffman and GMC with Ford.

I told him it was more like a Lotus set up, with which he followed with "but it has a Ford engine, right?"

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

This isn't stupid, just very innocent and insanely cute...

Yesterday my three year old daughter, while choosing a Blu-ray to watch, spotted Back To The Future. She was very excited and insisted on watching it - "Daddy's car!!!".

When the DeLorean went into flight mode she leapt up bursting with intense excitement screaming "Daddy Daddy Daddy you fly your car??????".

No........ Not for two more years hunny

    Flying Delorean

Well, if I could get roughly $100 grand, we'd have our prototype started- my 16 year old and I (both garage engineers....), designed and engineered a solution to a true flying car using a Delorean as the base- not something with wings, not something like the Moller Skycar (ugly and not practical). We had our plans checked by an aerospace engineer as well as another aeronautic engineer and our designs and theories are pretty rock solid.

Just not that easy coming up with that much funding.

Curious: why $100,000? And, if you're willing to divulge the details, what kind of design are you looking at?

Wait two more years and you can get the conversion done for just $39,999.95

Perhaps I should hold off a couple years then, so I can have the first D with a hover conversion

He was referencing a previous post, that wasn't so much "stupid" as it was "cute", because a guys little girl was asking if his car could fly too.
